              JavaScript is so popular because it have a lot of use in different area of coding including client side scripting (jQuery, Ajax, Angular.js), Server side scripting (Node.js) , Mobile programming (Apache Cordova/PhoneGap) and also used for defining rules & format for data transfer in the form of JSON (Java Script Object Notation). It can also be used with other technologies like Java to used web designing experience with Java programming.
         
           SQL (Structured Query Language) is another popular language. Although it is not a programming language like Java or C#, it is just a query language used to retrieve and manipulate information saved in database. It have their vendor specific variations like PL/SQL from Oracle and T-SQL from Microsoft.  Whatever the technologies is being used in the development of a project, if there is need to manipulate database than SQL is most common language.

        Java is a open source programming language that follow object oriented programming approach. It can be used in client side programming (as Java Applet), server side programming (as Servlet, JSP or JSF), embedded system programming, desktop application development (Java AWT and Swing), cloud computing or in big data (Hadoop).
